Default Anyone notice a lot more dyes lately?

I'm on my 2nd character, a warrior/monk. Previously, I played a monk/necro and got to 17th level before deciding to try a warrior (I'll definitely go back-it was getting very interesting when I left).

The warrior is currently 9th level and I just now am starting post searing missions (I hung around pre-searing to help other characters-call it sympathy from playing a monk).

Anyway, as a monk, in all of my time building up to 17th level, I only found about 7 dyes.

My 9th level warrior on the other hand has found over 20 dyes, no black unfortunately, but lots of silver, blue and red.

Did they up the amount of dye drops to try to bring down the prices, or is truly just random and I'm lucky (if you like dyes).

Seems odd that a much lower level character who is just now entering post searing gets more dyes than a character whos been around for a while.

Thanks.
Bragg

You say you hung around pre-searing longer with your warrior (getting to 9th lvl you must have spent quite a bit of time there). That would explain the large amount of dye... presearing dye drops are MUCH more common, which is why most presearing towns are filled with scammers trying to get dye for cheap prices from new players.

the difference is in pre-searing, you can solo easily. but in post-searing as a low level toon, as you are doing the quests/missions in PUGs or with henchies. drops are seen less, imo.

I think the dye drop rate is slightly increased in Pre-Searing Ascalon. I remember reading that somewhere. Anyway, I can solo in Post-Searing and come across one or two at most, but in Pre-Searing when you solo you can come across anywhere from four to six at a time, including 'rare' colours such as silver and even black.

I don't think that's a recent change, though, it's been like that at least since I started playing. Bad luck on your first character, I guess.

Well I got 2 black dyes in 3 last days - and they were my first black dyes since I started playing. Also I seem to get more dyes lately, but that may be just luck

I got a ton of silvers in the last few nights. That was a surprise since I previously hadn't seen many silvers.

but, with my first character just made 2 days after release (I was on a school trip to DC)I walk outside ascalon city (pre) for my first time kill 2 things and get a black dye. Really stinks for me that I sold 'em when they were worth 3k...

Thats really interesting that it happened to other people. Last night I was farming and I got about 5 dyes in about 30 minutes, not really making too much of an effort either. I tried again this morning and the dye drops were definitely not that frequent.
